Feeding prisoners is good. Most of the time it is better for prisoners to live until you don't want them to anymore, and starving them isn't as much fun as other things.
Yeah, well, we're legally obligated to keep everyone fed and on their meds and things like that. The last thing we want is a lawsuit. Or worse, bad PR.
We're trying to sell love, so you'll buy the advertiser's products that will make people love you. Fear doesn't really go well with that, unfortunately.
There are lots of ways to sell things. I usually find that a healthy mix of both works best. Make them want to do what you want and also make them afraid not to. Have you thought about making them afraid of what would happen if they don't buy that product?
Depends. Do you like ruining people and making them virtually incapable of trustworthy human interaction again while feeling pieces of your soul being ripped out of your body?
