I wasn't saying it was sad for you, you weren't even saying anything. All I see is ah and ha. Of course I do not actually know the guy, but I have been a member of many different competitive gaming communities, and its always the same. Eventually someone gets discouraged from now reaching their goals, quits, and then acts like everyone is such a fool for continuing to play the game.

In my opinion, there were few dancing game players who's abilities I really felt were anything note worthy. Japan seemed to pretty much monopolize achievements. GPF lith (was that his alias? I forget, something like that...), Dyaus, and JSB were in my opinion the only players who actually demonstrated any sort of exceptional talent.

The trash talk this guy throws out reminds me of 14 year old kids on a public CS server talking shit because they are better than other players in the server, despite them having no international recognition. Until you are great on an international level, there is nothing to brag about, and no reason to be elitist. Elitism is for the...elite!

And props to reaching your goals. It seems so much of the DDR/ITG community is so bitter and insecure about their scores/ranking. But that's just the nature of competitive gaming!

I can vouch for Dyaus being that is one of close personal friends. You would without a doubt have to add AWH, Toady, and whatever fucking names he went by. He was without a doubt one of the best player if not the best player in all of Northern California when he did play.
