Book a Week: Week 52, Books 41-43

Dec 30, 2012 18:17

Work continues on Justine.  I'm not calling it quits, but I certainly won't be finished by the end of the year.  I'm more than half-way done, though, so I count that as a win.

In the meantime, I did manage to finish two smaller books.  First up was The 13 Days of Christmas by Steven Davison and Carolyn Gardner.  If you've ever gotten tired of hearing the old 12-days chestnut, this will give you something new to sing.  And I did.  In a crowded lobby.  It was worth it.

The next was The Small Assassin by Ray Bradbury.  It was one of the last books I had from Ray.  It's mostly stories from October Country and Dark Carnival.  Truthfully, I had read all but three before in other volumes.  So, it wasn't that hard to finish.  But the book gets an overall high rating since I do love the other stories.
