ah blink
so, i'm in a blink 182 mood tonight. I've been listening to quite a lot the last hour or so.
it all started when i was watching american pie last night and their song "Mutt" is playing in one of the scenes... and of course the band's in it too.
anway, that brings me to a top 5 list.
Top 5 Soundtracks based on movies about high school
5.) Breakfast Club: All I really know is "Don't You" by simple minds, but that track rocks
4.) American Pie: Blink 182, Tonic, Third Eye Blind, lotsa good stuff.
3.) 10 Things I hate About You: Sister Hazel, Save Ferris, Letters To Cleo, P-Funk, Cardigans...amazing
2.) American Wedding: Entire album is amazing with the exeption of effing Avril
1.) Can't Hardly Wait: what a great soundtrack... and my winner
now of course, the moment i post this, I will surely be reminded of a better one.
anyway...
today was highly uneventful. Classes were actually really interesting, Prof. Cathcart is great. To preface this, her first name is Dolita. She was telling us that when she was younger she'd tell people that her mom was the daughter of the founder of dole fruits, and her father was the son of the owner of Chaquita Bananas, so she got named Dolita. We had a really interesting discussion on racism and classism in the U.S. specifically regarding the damage due to the Hurricane.
I dropped off the form for the B-ball team. I'm psyched about that, not gonna lie. I wish it was starting sooner than two weeks from yesterday. I also picked up a form for softball, so i gotta get that team together.
So I think im gonna do top 5 lists more frequently on my LJ, maybe it'l spice things up a bit.
