No, in real life recover is something hard... but writing it was sort of a nightmare... I was sort of banging my head against the screen all the time asking them 'but why can't you just get better?' Truth to be told I know they've a long way to go, that it's easy for them to sink back in their old problems even if, in their own way, they're already gone a long way from the start and that a part of them might never fully heal.
They're trying through and that's the important thing.
I'm glad you think Kobayashi is somewhat right. His role is for me in a way the most difficult to write down because Kobayashi's position is... well, rather different from the one of people around him.
I hope I'll manage to develop it more in the next chapter, hopefully without making blunders. LOL... even if he's a secondary character he's quite complex... :P
In this fic the sad thing is that even if the boys are good to each other, since they've inner problems too big for them to solve on their own at the moment, they've troubles having a healthy relationship even if they're trying their best.
But, as said before, what's really good in them is that they keep on trying while in TB/X they never actively tried to work things out together. They were so persuaded it won't work that they ended up messing things completely.
Here they're working hard to make things work and in their own way they've improved things greatly (through sadly not enough). In this chapter sadly they're suffering a minor regression due to what happened but this too is part of what they must learn to overcome if they want to make it work.
So please, cheer on them!

Out of late I'm tragically slow at writing so I've no idea when I'll finish something new but I've not stopped talking about TB/X even if I mostly do it through Tumblr...
