Me: What? (calls insurer, gets check date and number that paid that bill, leaves doc VM with info, waits 5 days for call back)
Doc office: Hi, we never got paid that $184.95. What? What's the check number? The date? I'm showing it wasn't paid.
Me: I know you think it wasn't paid, I'm saying it was and giving you proof. (insert several minutes of pointless wrangling and doc office calling insurer)
Doc office: Huh, okay, disregard that bill, insurer's sending a fax of the check.
Me: So how can we fix this so it doesn't happen again?
Doc office: I don't know. I'm just showing it wasn't paid.
