I'm doing a fair amount of reading and wanted to share some awesome resources I've been pointed to.
http://bit.ly/ylYpv2 The person who posted a link to it said "read it even if you don't think you need to," and I couldn't agree more. It is a 'zine on consent. Not just "ask before you have sex," but a variety of ways of thinking about boundaries, learning about yourself and your partner, finding out others' experiences and viewpoints. It's got many articles from many different viewpoints. You do need to click the pdf link to get it. And the formatting is confusing and annoying, it's meant to be printed out double sided and assembled into a book. It's still COMPLETELY worth reading, or at least reading some of the articles.
http://bit.ly/yWiQwF The very best explanation of privilege I have seen. If you don't know what privilege is, go read it. If you know but have a hard time explaining it to others, go read it. If you lead workshops on understanding and combating privilege, go read it. It's short, anyway!
Maybe someday I will remember how to spell privilege without a spellchecker squiggly red line...
