My Weekend
It's been rather eventful, I think. I have not done any work though, and now I'm rather stressed about it (but it's still shopping period! All I really have is reading to do.) Ah well; I've enjoyed things, and that's what matters =)
Friday evening, we went out for a Chinese New Year's Eve dinner. I ended up going with a group of twelve; me, John, Thomas; Jess R-W and her h.s. friend Alex Layda; Angela and Woodie; Woodie's friends Justin and... Christine?; and Bess, Annie, and Gwen from 16. We hadn't made reservations, so we thought we wouldn't get a table, but at the second restaurant we walked into, we got a table for twelve, just like that! It was nice to get Chinese food again.
After dinner, we just went back to the pack and hung out in 37 (that is, Jess and I and her friend Layda did). Then, Layda, Francis, Jess and I walked to the Ex-rated party in... quincy? but we didn't go in b/c it was crowded. It's funny; Ex-Rated (an experimental dance show) has been over for four months but they're still having parties. hehe. For once, I was actually dressed up-- red skirt and white collared shirt, for New Year's. =)
Satirday, Jess and I took the boys downtown to Quincy Market for dinner. We walked around a bit and looked at the stores, including this cool toy store called Zoinks. Then we walked to the North End and got pastries at Mike's Pastry-- very delicious. I had a cannoli and still have a strawberry cheesecake sitting in my fridge. -yum- Francis and Alison went out to a party, and Jess & I were going to join them, but we ended up staying in. I played Kemps (sp?), a really fun card game, with Camille, Sunny, Mo, Charles, Will, Sam, and Matt.
Sunday, John and Thomas went with us to Annenberg for brunch. In the afternoon, Brady's h.s.friend Ashleigh, her college friend Sulgi, Alison and I went to a Handel and Hadyn Society concert in Sanders. It was late17th century, early 18th century music from the French court, with some ballet-ish performances.
I still haven't done any reading. oh well =) It'll get done sometime this evening.
