Piper returns from taking the DVD and game over to Digger's place. He knew before he opened the door that James was there.

"What's up, Tricks?" he calls, not even looking up as he enters the flat and kicks off his shoes.

JJ mumbles something into the pillow. No person but Piper would have understood that he said: "Dunno. Found myself here. Comfy.".

JJ disentangled one arm from the pillow and waved. "Hi Piper. I´m not sorry for barging in like that."
One blue eyes cracks open and looks at Piper.
JJ hopes that Piper´s superhearing can hear the silent plea for comforting.

Piper pulls off his jacket and hangs it up then goes to sit cross-legged on his bed, facing the man on his sofa. "Yeah, I know that, you never are. What's got you down?"

"Well, I could have said Sorry for barging in, but that would´ve been a lie. Truth is... I don´t really know. I was walking around above the city and found myself here. I wanted to get in, so I got in. I don´t have a real reason....I wanted to be here. Don´t ask me why...."

Piper is too far away for his taste, he can´t quite reach him yet.

Do ask me! Come here - gimme a hug! he wants to say.
He doesn´t want to scare Piper off with clinginess, but he likes to be here. He likes Piper. And he wants a hug, dammit.
