Notes from the field

So believe it or not, I really have been reading through my friends list again fairly thoroughly. In some cases, I think I've shocked more than a few folks that I've commented. Sigh..

Reading is a good start and commenting hopefully shows I'm still engaged and interested in what's going on. I think that as time and brain cells congeal a bit more for me, my entries will start to come back here (written and photographic). They won't be as long and in depth as several years ago. I simply don't have an hour to write, edit, format and post like I used to.

On that note, the Nature Photo of the Day / Week will return the first of December. I haven't decided on whether to change it to a weekly format or go for the dailies as before. Likewise, I'll start working through the uploaded backlog of pictures from Abandoned Places, shows, events and various modeling sets. Why here and not the website?.. The website is dead for now. If I can't set up and ready my home studio for lack of funds, I also can't afford to buy the website shell, hosting and more. All in due time.

Speaking of the house, I finally have the track lighting installed in the basement. It took so long because it required the installation of a 'floating' power box in the ceiling and searching out each of the ceiling beams. Given this I should be able to install hardpoints and braces in the ceiling for hanging chairs.
