The Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano the Vatican has its own damned newspaper? implied Tuesday that the Church had been maneuvered let's break out the hankies since we all know the church is above manipulation and maneuvering of its own into contributing to a "gigantic marketing strategy" involving The Da Vinci Code intended to increase ticket sales. gee, must be nice to say this now, considering your call for massive boycotts DID NOT WORK--to the tune of $70 something million dollars In the end, the newspaper said, the film amounts to a dull version of Dan Brown's novel you're calling this dull? What do you people want in your movies--people being tortured and crucified...oh wait, you guys loved The Passion of the Christ, now didn't you? Dull version of a fiction novel, for me anyway and the controversy "much ado about nothing.". dude, this was YOUR controversy, you started it, you publicized it, you hadda weigh in on a MOVIE.
