...but 60! Yes, Ejhin is now barrelling through Outland with her trusty Shadowpriest compatriot, and has reached the exalted level of 60! It is very fun to be finally really stretching my legs as a Warlock and seeing what cool stuff I can do. The areas in Outland that gave me so much trouble with my other characters are super easy as a duo with Rometta, and I've been upgrading my gear about every other quest. I've more than tripled my +damage since reaching Outland, and expect it to skyrocket even further...and all this just off quest rewards (and one fortuitous green drop).
Lest you think I've left the Old World behind entirely, I'll in fact be doing a lot of work there as I progress along my Dreadsteed and Doomguard quests. I'm mildly appalled at the amount of work to get a Dreadsteed -- it's been hinted at that a Warlock who has done it before and still has the quest items can somehow help me circumvent the expense? I'd appreciate any advice on the subject, as I'm not looking forward to getting all that madness together. And if this is the case, I will happily compensate said helping Warlock for their time!
In other news, in between sleeping and more sleeping yesterday (I stayed home from work), I went out and finally bought myself a laptop! She is a sleek silver MacBook Pro with a 15" screen, 2 GB of RAM, and (at last) a very nice video card. Her name is Jeanne-Antoinette, after the talented and beautiful mistress of Louis XV (better known as Madame de Pompadour).
I go back on the road next week, to Las Vegas again for the GAMA trade show. It's an important show, but a (comparatively) easy one, as our booth is very minimal and the hours are quite relaxed. I think I have one business dinner, plus our company retailer dinner; the rest of the evenings are my own. (The better to sleep with!) I'm gone Monday-Friday; Dave comes back from St. Louis a couple days later. It's nice when our trips overlap! I may even have new hair by the time he gets home; I'm thinking about getting braided hair extensions. We shall see!
Pleasant somethings!
