[The day seemed like any other normal day. And the evening seemed like any other normal evening. For the first time in a while, Minato had gone to bed before midnight. He liked to sleep, maybe a little more than others. But he woke up much earlier than he expected. Much earlier. Around 2 in the morning. Not anyone's normal waking time.

Minato was sitting up by now, holding his right hand in his left after getting cut by the broken glass vase. The crimson flowing from the minor wound actually looked pretty, and should taste just as nice---WHAT was he thinking. He quickly shook his head and he could feel another bout of panic rising within him.
But he couldn't just leave Akihiko waiting. Could he? No, he couldn't. He shook as he got to his feet and made his way to the door, opening it juuuust a bit to peek outside.]
S-senpai......?

Everything okay?

[That was probably the worst question to ask him only because he didn't want to lie to his senpai. His friends were there to help him and he knew that and knew he could rely on them...
The gleam of the Evoker caught his eye, and he remembered his own Evoker was on his person since he just fell into bed that night, school uniform and all.
Minato opened the door up a little more, his right hand holding onto the doorknob so Akihiko couldn't see it bleeding. His senpai was always in good shape, wasn't he? Minato could tell by the sound of Akihiko's heart beat pounding in his head-----
---And he just as quickly SLAMMED the door shut after realizing what it was he was hearing.]

Are you sick? [Minato probably isn't hurt, seeing as how he answered the door with little trouble. Akihiko didn't seem to care that he was speaking loudly, either. This was serious.]

[Immediately Minato regretted how quickly he had answered the question and in the tone he used. The pounding heartbeat was not getting any quieter, even with the door in the way, and the pounding on the door wasn't helping.
He quickly looked around his room and felt trapped. He was going to be stuck in there the entire time if he didn't open the door. Just looking at the window for some reason made him shiver, perhaps some deep-seated fear of the sun.
No, he had to open the door again. Minato moved and opened it fully now, hiding his injured hand in his pocket. Maybe he did look a little pale.]
.... Sorry... s-senpai.....

He shook it off.] Don't worry about it.
You don't look so good. Maybe I should go wake Mitsuru or Shinji.

It's.... okay.... Please... don't tell them...... please.....
[He really didn't need more of them to see him like this as he didn't know why he was feeling this way. He was so afraid of hurting any of them.]

This was a tough call.]
...I won't.
[At least not right away. Minato probably just had a cold and was a little fuzzy-headed.]

Okay... thank you....
.....
[Minato lowered his hand, having calmed enough. He glanced around the hallway, seeing that it was only the two of them. So no one else would see, no one else was around, and Akihiko was right there, his heartbeat going on strong, and maybe it would be okay if he just tried...
Hi, Senpai, bringing out my Evoker now and shooting myself in the head to ask Messiah to Niflheim the hell out of you. You better move out of the way.]

Definitely not casting a healing spell, that's for sure.]
Gyaaah! [Luck was with him, or perhaps it was Polydeuces unconsciously preparing him to dodge. Either way, he dodged and tumbled on the ground, looking back at Minato with pure shock. What kind of Persona was that? Was it even Minato he was facing? Maybe this was the mirror-self he'd talked about.]
Damn it! [Akihiko wasted no time and held his Evoker to the side of his head. He pulled the trigger and issued his command.] Sukunda! [Polydeuces leaped in front of Akihiko and hit Minato with a strange burst of green light. It was best he try not to hurt him unless absolutely necessary.]

Summoning his Persona had also been just as draining without full mental capacity and stamina. Minato had his Evoker still in hand, blood all over its grip, and made one more attempt to summon Messiah--
--Until he realized what he had just done mere seconds ago. He froze, Evoker still at his head, his eyes widened at Akihiko who had looked just as shocked, a look of complete horror on his face.]
....
........ senpai.....

He held his Evoker to his forehead as well, but slowly pulled it away when he saw the blood on Minato's hand. He casted Sukunda, it should have just slowed him down. It never did any damage before.]
Put it down! [He commanded.] I don't want to hurt you.

What was happening to him, why was he feeling any of this, why did he just attack one of his closest friends, why...
Slowly he walked over to Akihiko, his left hand out and quivering as he wanted to help his senpai back up onto his feet.]
... i'm.... sorry........
[No, it wasn't enough and would never be enough.]

He hesitated when Minato offered to help him up. Something about that didn't seem right. He trusted his leader, but something was wrong. The dark-haired teen's body was shaking and his voice was breaking.
He hoped Minato wouldn't take it the wrong way when he climbed to his feet by himself.]
Give it to me. I don't think you should have it right now.

He only wanted to bring a little harm to Akihiko, not really kill him, only needed him to bleed and needed his Personae to help him because there was no way he could engage in hand-to-hand combat against Gekkoukan's Golden Boy and actually win, even if he did feel his senses had heightened somehow.
... And that thought was also as disturbing as ever.
He took a step back away from his senpai now.]
... no... I can't.......
