Automatically, the event is all that comes to mind.] As expected, my mirror confronted me during this past event and left me no choice to defend myself. Afterward, he did end up taking something of importance from me.[He sighs in frustration.]
I do hope the event proved to be less frustrating for you, Minato.

You saw him in person. [He wondered if there was a pattern to that. Or were some of the mirrors afraid or just not interested in confronting their real counterparts?] He took the item while it was on your person, or from somewhere else like your room?

Yes. He demanded one of my samples and we...quarreled. I had left the room and by the time I returned, the sample was gone.
[Wesker decided not to press the other about his reply and instead changed the subject...somewhat.] May I ask why you are inquiring about the residents' opinions of Wonderland?

Sample? May I ask what that's in reference to? [He had to ask. Wesker's mirror knew how important it was, enough to fight him for it. Interesting. And another thing, Minato didn't get in a fight with his own mirror; he wondered if both Wesker and his mirror had been evenly matched or not.
He welcomed the subject change since it saved him a long explanation.]
I'm just curious. It might be better here than at home for some.

A sample of the cure I am working on. It was ready for trial, but I have had to begin anew in replicating it since the event. [Yes, Wesker was satisfied with that explanation. It was true that he had to start over, much to his dismay. But with Spencer's help, he was now back on track, and the virus was nearing completion.]
[He thinks of the interactions he has had with others and how some have spoken of leaving a not so ideal life behind.] Understandable.

A cure? For what? [It hadn't mattered to Minato as much that Wesker needed to start from scratch. But a cure to something meant that something needed to be cured at all. And what exactly was that?]
[The same thought had passed through his mind as well.] Yes, I think so.

It is a cure for another disease that has plagued my world for the past decade or so. Although some have mentioned that I will not remember what has happened here in Wonderland when I return to my own dimension, I do like to keep myself busy working toward that cure. [He couldn't help but smile to himself with the explanation he had fabricated on the spot. Part of it was true, but the rest...]
How about yourself? Would you choose to return to your own dimension if given the chance?

But that disease isn't here. [Or he didn't think it was. He hadn't heard of any disease in the Mansion. How was he going to test it without anyone who was afflicted with it?
When the question was turned around and asked to him, Minato took just a second to think of an answer. He knew he would miss his friends here, the friendships he had forged, and he really didn't want to forget any of it.]

[He allows a his tone to be one of defeat.] Yes, I do realize this. But I feel I will go insane if I do not focus my efforts on some form of research. It is all I have done for the past decade. [Oh yes, he is laying it on thick now.]
[Wesker could hear Minato's tone and could tell that he had mixed feelings about leaving.] I can understand why you hesitate with the question. A number of people have proved to be quite interesting and...dependable.

[Insane? It was a strong word. Though a decade already encompassed more than half of Minato's life since he was only 17. He thought that Wonderland would be a place to find something new to do, but Wesker wanted to continued his work?] Doing research means trial and error. I'm sure you're aware of that.
[... There's the word choice again. But as long as he didn't have to say anything about his past, then Minato was fine for now.]
Mn, it's been interesting learning about other worlds. [It made him realize he didn't know much about Wesker's besides what he could glean from bits and pieces of conversation.]

I do. Before focusing my efforts solely on research, I was a captain for the local police department. After a number of years of serving Raccoon City, I decided that I could contribute more in the ways of science. [And everything he said just then was true.]
I would have to agree. Especially Alternia, the world of the trolls. I continue to learn more and more each time I speak with one.

[Just curious again. Of all the cities in the world, no, he hadn't heard of that one. And a police officer turned scientist? From he knew of police officers, they had training. And access to firearms and other such weapons. And scientists. He knew a bit about them. And how experiments could go completely wrong. Hm.]

Yes, I am. The year is 2009 in my dimension. A number of the countries have become corrupt by money and greed, I'm afraid. [And of course this was true as well. But Wesker was actually one who contributed to such corruption with the selling of the viruses and parasites.]
I have, yes. Although, I heard there are a number that inhabit the house.

Mn, that sounds normal. [It didn't seem any world was free from corruption. So that part sounded normal. Interestingly enough.] You lived in America? You also consider it corrupt?
I think so. From what I've heard. [Again, he didn't think he needed to elaborate.]
