(no subject)

So this morning, I had to set like 3 alarm clocks to wake up. This is, JOY TO THE WORLD, the second to last time I'll ever be subjected to having to wake up at 6:30 and be in school by 8AM. So I'm giving it a solid effort, after last week's Tuesday frenzy. Actually, all of last week (and yesterday) I slept in, even when I had a first period class. It was nice...in the way that my quality of life definitely went up. I also got to develop a very close relationship to Gerri Biggins. She probably knows my home phone number by heart, and I'm not joking. Pretty much every day last week went something like this:

Me coming in at 12: Hi Gerri...
Gerri: Hi Petek. Late again?
Me: Y..yeah...
Gerri: Oh, dear. What happened now?
Me: There was a tree blocking the road...I mean a huge accident on the highway...no wait there was...there was...yeah no I overslept again.
Gerri (pretending to be amused and not going through an aneurysm): Did you hear your phone ring at all this morning?
Me (thinking): Thank God for caller ID.

So this morning, I'm going to try. I'm only going to be a maximum of 4 minutes to class. Which is good since Ms. Mac is always guaranteed to be at least 5 minutes late herself.
Like I said, my quest to wake up this morning has been...fun in a root canal kind of way. I set many an alarm clock, and not only are they EVIL and keep setting off in 5 minute intervals, but when I unsuspectingly think I've put an end to their racket and go back to sleep, they ATTACK AGAIN. How do they DO that!?! They're onto my sleep-loving ways. I tell you, it's a sad day when one is outwit by her own alarm clocks.

Anyways, back to getting ready. I got inspired by the case of the diabolical alarm clocks, for some reason.
