does it really matter?

time for work experience next week and then a shoot in wales and some more work experience. all the travelling should give me time to catch up on all the reading i should have been doing instead of watching world cup matches. brazil and italy did not deserve to win. that's only if i can stay awake on the train without filling up on caffiene everyday - off coffee and tea and onto a greater evil - cocacola. i'm english i can't stop drinking tea, i just can't.
walking around all the 'vintage' shops today made me realise all who shop there are beginning to look the same. i had a feeling a few months ago when i went to london and then back home last month. i'm glad she only really buys from boot sales and real charity shops rather than being ripped off big time in loewy or rocket. people are looking good and i have nothing against that and giving peole easy access to a range of designs but didn't people start buying 'vintage' to save money, find classics (and there are some classic designs particularly household goods - my particular favourites are clocks) and bring back a look? it seems that stores have exploited this and charge prices that match of high street shops and as all are shopping wearing it the designs seems as common as sheeps wool. maybe i'm being narrowminded. anyway, only women look good and the beautiful ones can wear whatever. someone will have to start changing the rules. i'd like to wear a suit cut on savile row but that's nothing new so maybe it'll just be another era change. move forward? someone will and then all shall follow. see what tea deprivation does?
