RIP #667
I spent most of my Valentine's Day killing the rats in our labs and removing the brains. Luckily I didn't have to do the actually killing or blood draining myself (that's tomorrow morning ;_;).
I understand that it is all for a bigger, better cause. (Figuring out how to combat the memory loss in patients with Alzheimer's or preventing it) But it just seems so... cold blooded...
I'm not a big Valentine's Day person, but this was a little hard. I guess its not a bad thing to struggle a lot with taking lives of any creatures, but I need to get over it and focus on my work or I'll never finish this project.
Thankfully though, I have some really awesome friends! Derek bought me flowers and Heather made fudge and got ice cream to make me feel better. It was pretty cool after the day was finally over.
The day was long, long, long and I am so incredibly tired, but at least I got some candy.
(Oh and the results of my V-day game of seeing how many flowers we can steal from the Campus Crusaders verses how many condoms we can avoid getting = Heather and me tied for first.)
