Thoughts for the road.

So yay, prom was fun with Carolyn! It was one of the first times I've actually had real fun at a dance...Ring Dance takes 2nd place, I think. But yes I only have ONE final exam left (yay for exemptions, I only have to take two) and then an AP English Lit exam on Thursday and then...it's fareaking over!! NOCCA graduation is on Friday too...they changed the time from 7 to 6:30, I guess they're trying to get rid of us sooner lol. But I know that I'm going to miss NOCCA sooo much. I have a secretarial job there this summer (at $10.00 an hour, not bad for a first job, eh?), so even with the ban on students coming there for summer session, I'll probably be able to drop in a few classes. I still can't believe that I'm going to NYU. I would have never dreamed I could get into Tisch, nor that I'd actually take an acting studio. But NYU and Strasberg studio really are the perfect places for me...with dance and music courses offered at Strasberg as well as film acting (which I have been really looking towards lately), as well as the great city of New York to take all the outside dance classes I want, I'll still be training in musical theater while getting a powerful acting base. With the enormous scholarship I got to NYU (almost full) and the money I hope to make this summer, my experience in New York City and New York University will be famazing. Not bad for a lower class Creole boy from New Orleans, lol. But I can't believe all the amazing friends I've made at NOCCA, and the couple from Jesuit. Even though I may bitch about New Orleans sometimes, it's hard to leave and it makes me want to tear sometimes when I know that all of the MT seniors are going to really different parts of the country, none of us really going to the same school. Well, sort of...I guess me, Griff, Chris and Brian are close together, and then Jana is going to be at NYU with me. But then there's Carolyn, Taylor, and Laura, who are going to their various schools. But I know that we're always going to be close friends, and I've come to learn that we are bitchy to each other sometimes only because we want to say whatever issues we have in the open, and there have been many. Ultimately, it is this year that was crucial in making one of my major life decisions, and the people I spent it with will not be forgotten. I guess...I should study...for my American Government final tomorrow. Lala!!
