Hi, all (3 of you who may actually read this)! I'm here in Pisa enjoying being on the internet and not in my crappy hotel room, but also really tired and bored. Sure there are things I could and should be doing, but I'm just not used to actually working for so many hours in a row. Plus, my internal clock is all confused about what time it is. It's fairly sure that my computer is a filthy liar when it says that it's 2 in the afternoon. Yeah, that's right, I just confirmed using my fancy world clock that it's actually only 8am. And I've already been up since a different 8am. So, by my calculations, which I'm sure are correct, I've been up for 12 hours so far today, not to mention all the not sleeping I did when flying here on Saturday night. My flight left Boston at 5:30, landed in Paris at 12:30, which they claimed was really 6:30, and then I had a 4 hour layover before my next flight to Pisa, all with very little actual sleeping. Oh, and here's a kicker: my poor adviser was complaining that he hardly got any sleep at all on his direct flight because the business class seats didn't quite go back far enough to lay completely flat, but they did go back too far to read comfortably. Oh, boo hoo! Life is so hard!
So, I'm sure that anyone who is reading this already knows that Uri and I are expecting in March, but it seemed like I should put it in here just for the record. We're expecting! A baby! In March!
