RE: I hate snow

Dec 25, 2008 01:38

Ended up injuring my foot walking to the lightrail station yesterday. My foot was, of course, rather cold, so I didn't end up feeling it until I had been at work for an hour or so.

Today I was throwing back advil fast enough to hit the 24 hour dose in about 6 and I had my foot wrapped with an ace bandage. Every now and then, it would hurt like a mother fucker and I'd have to limp through the store for a bit.

As far as Doctor Internet can tell, it's one of two things. Either I pulled a muscle or a sprained my foot. Hopefully it's the former, because I can't really not use my foot for a month an a half waiting for it to heal. The upside is that this gives me an excuse to buy a cane. In the short term, this will help my foot. In the long term I have a neat accessory and I can hit stupid people with it. Cut in front of me will you? Well, that makes two people with gimpy legs, and I'm the guy with the cane.

In other news, the goddamned snow is finally starting to melt. Hopefully the buses will start running again, because I certainly don't want to have to walk a mile on a screwed up foot so I can ride the train in.

Moredena and I are lame and already opened our christmas stuff a few days ago. One of the things she got me was Labyrinth on DVD. I spent most of the movie swooning over Bowie and his completely absurd costumes.
