(no subject)
Sooo, today was really nice, even though I'm decently sick & my voice is pretty much gone. I sound like a man. At noon I met a couple people from yearbook at the mall to go over cover designs. I got a sammich at Panera, and it was delicious.
Then I went over to Amara's house, but started feeling really crappy. So, I went home and drank tea. A little while after that I started to feel better and more energetic (no caffeine, though XD) so I called Rachel. She was hanging out with Calvin, decorating Bryan's birthday cake. I went over there and hung out with them and met her new SQUIRREL. Seriously. A baby squirrel. Apparently she'd found it lying on the sidewalk and it followed her home. She doesn't know if it's injured or sick, so she's going to bring it to a wildlife specialist on Monday. Apparently it's illegal to have a pet squirrel. It is SO cute. It's just adorable. Sooooo awesome and tiny and floofy and sleepy and pretty.
Then we drove Calvin to his house to drop off the boy rats (that Rachel gave him - they were anxious and over-grooming themselves because of the girl rats, so she had to give them to someone). His house is amazing. I guess his mom is an artist, so the entire house is colorful and bright and neat and full of art and interesting tidbits. Plus, it's just a really really cool house, all on it's own, architecture-wise. Then we brought Calvin to his friend's house.
After that Rachel decided that we should make delicious raspberry cheesecake, so we went to the store. WE WERE LOCKED IN A GROCERY STORE. Seriously. There was a tornado warning, so they LOCKED US IN. It was so weird. THEEENNNN we went back to her house and started the cheesecake. Soon after, Bryan arrived. Wheee. Then we went downstairs and watched tv. Anna and Jay showed up, and Robbie after them.
Rachel was like, "OH! JAY IS SINGLE! ALEX IS SINGLE! ALEX, MEET JAY. HE IS SINGLE. JAY, MEET ALEX. SHE'S SINGLE, TOO." and pointed out funny/good qualities about us. It was quite silly. We all ate cake and drank tea and coffee and watched the discovery channel. Rachel and I did yoga, because we are silly. Alice, the squirrel made another appearance and everybody ooh-ed and ahh-ed and made the appropriate cooing noises.
Everybody got kind of tired after that, and much snuggling was had. Robbie and Annaleft. A little after midnight, her grandmother came down and told us that everybody had to leave at one. So we did. And now I am home, unable to talk or swallow, snuggling with my rattos.
I loves those people so much. XD I always feel really true to myself and happy and optomistic around them, which is great. Hopefully I'll get to see them more often. T_T
