I found some of my old poems on my computer and thought I'd share a few of 'em.
(This one didn't have a title...)
***
She is touched with light and grace
A tranquil visage is her face
When softly over tired brow
Does loves light wings their touch allow
And tenderly through raven locks
Do love’s adoring fingers walk
Savoring the deepest sigh
All so quiet in her eye
Amidst the night’s imploring breeze
Love’s tender kiss does ache appease
When warmly in her weary breast
At last does love soothingly rest
Inside her heart love’s found its soul
Where at last it may console
And wrap her in gentle embrace,
Purge her tears, love in their place****
"Little Bird"
Little bird
The world out there is beautiful
If only you would see
Just open up your wings
And fly, be free
Don’t be afraid to fall
Its better if you die
Happy
Than to never have lived at all****
And this is one I wrote this morning...might add more to it, but this is what I've got for now...
"Coffee"
I carry all my troubles in
A great big heavy coffee cup
Swirl them 'round with cinnamon
And stomache aches
And drink them up
