SO OKAY. I AM MOVING at some vague point in the next month. Or two. It keeps getting moved back for various bureaucratic reasons with the place my dad's transferring to. BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT OF THIS POST. See, last Thursday my mom left to go meet up with my dad in Texas so they could go househunting. Which they apparently hadn't done yet for whatever reason. This post is about the epic story of just what happened when she left.

So first day, everything's cool! My brother has some friends over and we figure this is fine even though we're low on food (we've been going light on buying it since my mom doesn't want a lot of extra stuff to go to waste when we leave) because we've got a credit card to use for store runs. We'll do that tomorrow! Only, come to find out, Mom gave us the wrong pin number! We get locked out of the account and told it'll work on Saturday. ALL COOL. We wait til the next day and go to pull money only to find out it's still locked and we can't get money until Tuesday. FANTASTIC.

Now, remember. We're low on food. There's four of us total, and we've got enough to last maaaaybe two days. Fun times. We solve the problem by sending everyone but me out of the house to go camp or stay at a friends' house. I stay behind to watch the animals and keep in touch with folks from the house. The food lasts me just fine~ Monday rolls around and my brother and little sister come home, have a friend each over, and the food gets finished off. We're all very hungry on Tuesday. Naturally our sister decides to take her sweet goddamn time coming home to try pulling money. A-and then she calls to tell us nope! THE ACCOUNT IS STILL LOCKED. We call mother dear. She realizes that, oh! She needs to fax some shit over to get them to unlock the account by tomorrow! Oooookay. We're still fucking hungry of course, so we need money now. The only solution we can come up with is stealing our little sister's lunch money to buy enough stuff for some cheapass dinner. (Fun fact: Her birthday was literally the day before this.) We get the cash from her and are all set to run out the door when our mom calls again telling us it's really (REALLY) unlocked this time. O-OKAY?!

Being the distrustful whores we are by that point, we take little sister's lunch money along with us anyway. But for some reason the card worked, we got food, money, and some stuff to make a cake for little sister. ALL IS GOOD RIGHT? Well maybe if you ignore all the shit that's been breaking over this week.

Around Monday or so I noticed the guest toilet had started leaking. A bit of fiddling around got it to stop relatively okay though, so I figured it'd be fine until my mom could get home and look at it. She's amazing at random stuff around the house, so she could totally fix it! But earlier today the leak got twenty times worse, to the point that we had to turn the water supply to that toilet off. Also broken today: the garbage disposal! No reason at all. It just worked, and then it didn't. Won't even turn on.

Before that, on what was prooobably Friday? We were told that the newer computer had a virus and needed to be reformatted. And the next day we learned the flickering monitor had actually been the monitor dying a horrible flickering, spasming death. So that's useless. --Oh, and on Monday again! One of our fucking hardcore sturdy glasses just shattered to pieces in the dishwasher. Seriously, you can drop these glasses on the floor without worrying about a crack, but it just went to pieces in there for some reason. OH AND. I don't remember when this was, but at some point we got a call saying our vacuum cleaner that had needed a belt replaced actually couldn't be repaired at all, so we were fucked for cleaning any carpets like we needed to.

But okay! All that is stuff that we can deal with! The broken stuff is all either under warranty or was just a damn glass, we managed not to starve (oh but, we did turn out not to have all the ingredients we need for the cake and couldn't find the last one we needed so we have to WAIT ON THAT orz). BUT THE BIG THING. THE REALLY BIG THING IS I-I don't know where the credit card has ended up now. 8( IT WAS IN THIS WALLET. TO NOT LOSE IT. AND NOW THE WHOLE DAMN WALLET IS GONE AND MY MOM GETS HOME AT SOME TIME I DON'T EVEN KNOW AND s-sob my life ;o; I am going to die you guys.

ETA: FOUND THE WALLET sob sob i am safe

And that was my week and how my mother leaving clearly placed a curse on the house.
