Went to Disneyland, have some pics!
Went to Disneyland on Sunday with my PaulCon roadtrip buddies!
It was hot, and crowded. The first unblocked weekend for SoCal residents, so locals were out in force.
My first time on the Monsters, Inc. ride!
I love that movie.
The monster vending machine contains:
"Sugar, Salt & Fat"; "Bag O Calories: Contains No Nutrition, Approximately 100 Pellets"; "Primordial Ooze"; "Blort"
"Sinew Chews - Yee Haa!"; "Same Old Raccoon Bar - Totally Tasteless"; "New! Polyvinyl Chloride - One Tube" (in other words, it's PVC); "Blort"
So, not that different from a human vending machine. Mmm, Bag O Calories...
"When in Monstropolis, it's... HARRYHAUSEN'S"
The menu from the sushi restaurant in Monster's Inc. Named after Ray Harryhausen, the film genius who used stop-motion animation to create a number of great movie monsters from movies you never heard of because you weren't born yet.
The menu includes items such as "Terrible Teriyucki - vulture cutlets served on a sizzling platter" and "Green Tea Ice Scream."
Mike & Sully & Boo!
The ride is basically a recreation of the movie story, told in life-size dioramas.
Space Mountain gets the Vulcan salute!
The girls are un-Vulcanically gleeful.
This is what it's like to be with these girls and their iPhones. Always with the Facebooking and the Twittering. Plus now we had the Wait Watcher app, which monitors the wait times of the Disneyland rides!
Then we met up with Jenny at California Adventure!
The big lake is under construction!
I wonder what they did with all that water.
Apparently, they are building a new attraction, the World of Color.
Coming in 2010!
Tower of Terror!
We did <3 faces. But mine failed because my arms moved as the ride began to drop.
Shout outs to Wayne and Crissy and Winston and Hai and Gina and Will who we ran into at CAdventure!
