Rush Of Inspiration
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup.
My last entry was completed just before I left work, and the ideas it sparked have been running around through my head frantically since I ended that geek!rant. This idea about writing about the extent of my geekness is one of those projects that just hit me as being brilliant and something I must do... so therefore it's such an electrically-charged idea in my brain that won't sit still. That snippet of an entry was an amazing jump-start. All the way home I was thinking about things, and now it's nearly 1:30 and I have class in the morning, but I just spent the past hour at least writing furiously. Just a freewrite, no paragraph or wording structure... but I just opened a Word document and wrote... I came up with nearly three pages single spaced.
There are times that I doubt that I am truly a writer at heart, and then things like that just hit me... they grip my soul and they won't let go until I get them out. That is when you know they must be tackled in a literary format. I love that feeling I get when I'm fired up about writing. I've never been compelled to write on a topic like I was just now.
I'll be sure to keep you all updated as my project unfolds, as it feels like it could be an important one.
