I've been in Rarotonga (small island in the Cook Islands) for five days, with my parents, brother, and his girlfriend. It was lovely - holyfuckhot, but lovely. The sea was so clear I have been forever spoilt for lesser beaches. We fed the fish one day, tons of them, all different shapes and colours. And blue starfish. Much snorkling was done. My brother had a camera that was waterproof, so he got lots of great shots. I'm only a little bit sunburned, which is impressive considering how England-pasty-white I was beforehand. Even though I was slathering on the suncream every 5 minutes, I still expected to be a lobster girl. I did manage to burn the backs of my hands, which are now fine and peeling, and on the last day burnt my legs a lil bit.

Brother (the fireman) got picked up from the airport by his mate in, yes, a fire truck.

Back in NZ now, until the end of the month.

...oh, I forgot to mention my fat feet! They swelled up on the flights over from the UK, as they do, then the flight to Raro, and then the heat kicked them right off. They're so fat I have an actual wrinkle where the top of my foot meets my toes. Its like walking on waterballoons! Will stick 'em in the air and hope they go back to normal soon.
