Things I absolutely HAVE to purchase while in the Smoky Mountains...
1. Molasses- Because no where and I mean NO WHERE, except the Smokies, makes molasses the right way. Molasses should taste as sweet as Karo not this burnt sour crap they try to sell me in the store.
2. Apple Butter- from the Apple Barn of course, with its amazing robust cinnamon and nutmeg flavoring.
3. Muscadine Wine- from the Apple Barn too... since theirs actually tastes like the amazing fruit that is muscadines... and not just wine spritzed with some artificial muscadine flavoring.
4. Chocolate covered cherries & Turtles (or Brown Bears) from the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen. There are many candy places around... but I've always gotten mine from the same place.
Then on the way to and from there... I always have to stop at the Vol Market #3 to get at least 5 of the most amazing Reubens I've ever tasted.
