Hehe. Wow, look at that. Let's just all pretend that it hasn't been a month since my last post, eh?
So, lucky me, I got a new job that's within walking distance so it doesn't even matter that my car won't start. I also got that stupid scholarship I didn't think I was going to get. w00t.
Unlucky me, a girl I work with just jacked my hours. Her husband dislocated his shoulder. So, the scene goes like this:
Me, walking into the shop. My boss stops me.
"Oh, my friend didn't come into town today, so it turns out we won't be needing you."
I'm slightly annoyed that she didn't call me and just waited for me to show up, but whatever. It's not a huge deal, right? So, then she says, "Oh, and since Chelsea's husband got hurt, he's going to be out of work for a few weeks and they need money. So, I'm going to give her your hours, okay?"
And that throws me into this stunned state. All I can say is, "Uh, yeah. Okay." Even though I'm thinking, "What? I don't need money? Sure, it's not like I have bills to pay or anything, right? My cats don't need to eat. I don't need to pay for my phone. And hey, don't even worry about how I'm going to feed myself. It's all good. Really."
So, score one for me. My door mat aura strikes again.
