It's going to be that kind of week.
Sometimes, when Jack doesn't answer his mother's phone calls, she calls me. I never answer, because I know I won't understand her, but I know it means that whatever she wants is for real important. I'm told that she's speaking english when she leaves me voicemail, but it sounds like spanish to me.
So, she called this morning. I checked the message and I caught the word "dead". I listened to it again just to make sure. Jack's grandfather died.
I know this last part seems small in comparison, but... we'd both applied for characters in this game over on Insane Journal. They didn't approve my character, so I checked his mail to see about his. Didn't approve it either. I half considered deleting the email so he wouldn't have to see it today. We both worked really hard on the characters. It's gonna suck finding out about that today.
