I have to get back into the habit of posting my fandom stuff on LJ. I tend to go the Tumblr route of late, which is great for my guiltier pleasures (Vampire Diaries, anyone?) but not as satisfying for my other fandom loves beyond gifsets (Doctor Who, Highlander & Continuum ( Read more... )

One thing we are all waiting for are answers, which will no doubt be slowly parsed out through the season. I'm especially looking forward to finding out about the mysterious Mr. Escher who vouched for Kiera with Krycek. (Seriously, I can't remember the character's name but it is Nick Lea as a shady fed, so... :P)

I did like how they worked things out with Kellog though. There was a lot of speculation during the hiatus about whether or not she actually slept with him, if she was just using him to get the time travel wedge, if her doing so harmed her characterization, etc... I like that she didn't let that moment rule her. The way she handled Kellog from a confident, powerful position when they met in the bar was fantastic. I liked him too, the way he continued to treat her... with respect, lots of it, as much for her balls in making use of the oppurtunity as for whatever actually happened when they were "laying low". Which the show never truly explained, so it might not be what we think anyway.

Incidentally, I really got a kick out of Alec applying for a job at Memory Express! XD It's a real computer store with one of the best reputations for experience and quality. It's the only place a real computer geek would want to be, so it's a great detail to have the show include. At this point, I'm as much watching for the Canadian shout-outs as for the plot and characters. I love it!

I'm so jealous! The day a sci-fi or fantasy show shot in Ireland is actually set in Ireland, I'll probably throw a parade! (A good chunk of Game of Thrones as well the last two seasons of Primeval were shot here, but both series were pretending to be somewhere else :-()
