OK, yes. It was an ending that worked well, and seemed a satisfying end to Amy's story arc. But I must have missed the announcement that there won't be more until the Xmas special, and it's a little annoying.

That was actually announced months ago - that we were getting the series in two parts - 7a and 7b with the Xmas Special in between.

You didn't know? Yeah, it's pretty irritating, but I first heard about it before the summer so I'd already steeled myself for it. I have a funny feeling it has something to so with the 50th anniversary coming up (next year, isn't it?) but Doctor Who doesn't really have enough episodes in a season to justify such a huge season break.

*Nods.* The 50th anniversary is next year. Considering how I've lost interest in New Who since Moff took over, I'm going to be interested in seeing what they do for fans of other incarnations of the show.
