The Hunger Games (and other movie stuff)

Mar 25, 2012 09:02

So, I went to see The Hunger Games and thought it was a good solid film adaption of the book and I wouldn't be ashamed to recommend it others. I especially loved the first half hour. I thought it was very evocative of the book and Rue's death still made me weepy, despite the fact I knew it was coming. I rarely get weepy in films, so this is a good thing!

Two thumbs up!

In other news, it seems I'm going to be seeing Cabin in the Woods early after all! Friday Fright Night (At the IFI) scored an early showing of the movie - 30th March - and I grabbed a ticket (Squee!). For those interested, you should get a ticket ASAP if you want to go as they are selling out quickly. (Also, this showing will be guaranteed to have a full audience of hardcore horror fans, which is always fun!)
