So, I read an interesting blurb about a book on i09 and they mentioned that it was available on Amazon for kindle. Sounded good to me so I toddled on over - only to find it wasn't available to me for region copyright reasons... Really? In this day and age?
The thing is, if I paid for a paperback version, Amazon would ship it to me without a murmur, but I have a kindle, damn it, and I want to use it - not wait for a week for the book to turn up on my doorstep. So I'll just move onto another book which will allow me to buy a digital copy and that author has just lost out on ten bucks for no reason except to prop up an outdate regionalised copyright system that does no one any favours.
