Yay! Always such a joy to see new chapter.

I loved how the D/E was a subtle underpining to the whole chapter, and mmmmmm the shifting dynamics. I'm loving how plotty this series is, because it makes the D/E feel more organic--like it's building normally out of events and not just happening off in some corner. It feels believable and in character. And you don't forget about Stefan either, which I like since one of the things I've been enjoying most about Damon on the show, other than his relationship with Elena, is the tentative alliance he's developed with his brother.

You have a good handle on the characters. I can hardly wait for the next bit!
