Doctor Who: 5X02

The first scene: I thought the the fairground heads (smilers) were a bit naff, and it seemed to me that they borrowed the 'girl in the telly' image, in the elevator, from Life on Mars - more reminiscent of it than a true hard copy, but imagery was still too alike for me to ignore it.

The Second Scene: Now, that I've mentioned what I disliked, I have to say that I LOVED the interaction between Amy and the Doctor - he calls her Pond! He couldn't get more public school if he tried!

I loved it all, in fact. LOVED it! The character interaction was satisfyingly rich and three dimensional, and Miss Vendetta, Liz 10, her Majesty the Queen is a bit fun.

Also, when the Doctor gets angry, he loses it in a believable manner - and Amy saves the day by using her noggin rather than than with shiny Tinkerbell magic! Yay! Hugs all around.

But, damn it all, my DVR didn't record the last couple of minutes, so I don't know who was on the other end when Amy answered the phone on the TARDIS
