Just got an email that apparently had a virus in it. I didn't open it, but it's apparently possible it still can access my email address so I'll pass on the information I got on it...

Anyone who got the email with the http : // www . robertsandersfamilylaw . com / 9ERYUIoopa . htm link should not open it. the site is viral ( Read more... )

It's bullshit.

Yes, it's possible that website has (or had) a virus/trojan/drive-by download. (It's extremely unlikely it *still* does, as surely they would have been informed? It's a legit website.)

The email couldn't do anything without being opened, no matter what email/webmail client you use, what your OS is, etc.

To be honest, sounds like a viral (in the other sense of the word) attack on the business.

Ack, and I went to the bother of emailing everyone in my address book and everything! Ah well, I suppose it's better to err on the side of caution.
