Maybe it's just me, but I'm finding it really hard to have any interest in Echo/Caroline as a character, and her 'relationship' with Ballard just leaves me cold.
The rather strange mess between Topher and Whiskey/Dr. Saunders in episode one, however, I found oddly fascinating - of course, the moment a relationship piques my interest, one of the characters does a runner, and I'm left watching Echo and Ballard again... boring.
I'm left wishing Alpha would come back and finish Echo off. I have a funny feeling the series would improve exponentially as a result.
