And, in my usual way, I got distracted by a plot bunny while I was writing.
This plotbunny is based on those rather random mentions of Mary Shelley in the Eight Doctor Big Finish Stories, and I thought I could add it, timeline wise, right after the events of the BF version of Shada, so I can have Romana too!
Of course, as a Highlander fan, the thought of writing a rather nice crossover came to mind, but as Frankenstein's monster is definitely going to be a part of the story, this leaves me with a bit of a dilemma, as Byron himself is supposed to be the inspiration for the monster in the Highlander version.
Also, I've done some research on Mary Shelley and she's such a fascinating character (and younger than I thought when she met Byron in Switzerland - only 19) I'd love to write her as a true historical character, rather than a Highlander character (although she wasn't treated as badly as some, in the series)
