...do I really need to connect the family Wii to the internet?
I've acquired one of the elusive beasts for Christmas, and I'm wondering whether I actually need to bother with either setting up wireless (using a borrowed wireless router) or wired access (need to buy an adapter). What does it give me? I've heard some mention of updates - is this minor stuff I need not worry about, or genuinely useful game patches? And then there's the online privacy/safety issue: I don't want the kids playing online so cn I lock them out fairly easily? As for games from the Virtual Console that seems to require Real Money so I'm potentially not too bothered about that.
