It's been 40 weeks since I posted. That's 280 days. It sounds impressive until I realize that 280 days simply translates to almost a year. It's funny how your mind finds it difficult to comprehend 280 days, but when you categorize it into almost a year, your brain goes "Ah, I know THAT one!"
Anyway: Pretty video. Music performed by fans. Animation made by fans. Believe it or not.

The Touhou Project is a typical strange phenomena of Otaku nature. It is a series of top-down scroller game similar to that of Raiden, where the aim is to survive and/or kill your enemis by dodging their bullets and hitting them with your bullets. It sounds simple. It is simple. Here's a screencap.
The pretty lights? Yeah, they'll kill you. The portrait drawings of the characters are, as it were,
sub-par. What it has is pretty good music and a large number of distinct characters. As well as the accomplishment you feel after surviving something like the picture above with ease. While it took awhile (the original was Windows 98), the game was finally noticed by otakus. These fans transformed the half baked ideas of these distinct characters and ran with it. And I mean ran with it.
Composers took the music and remixed every single songs. The remix files added up to terras. TERRAS! Musicians played the music in many forms of
musical instruments (even some that are
like this) and added voice to the songs. Artist took Zun's sub-par drawing and create amazing
things out of
them. And the Doujin guys... I won't go there. But yeah. Fan power.
By the way, for those people who wants to continue to contact me, I'm discontinuing my MSN and switching to Yahoo. Unfortunately, MSN doesn't seem to accept Yahoo Messenger's invites, so you'll need to be the one to add me. Add me: cud*underscore*goldeye*at*yahoo.com
