What the fuck is going on?
I spent a lot of yesterday in a painkiller haze (which was nice, thank you DrGP) so I didn't pay a lot of attention to the news, but I woke up this morning to Chris Evans OMGing a lot about Gordon Brown ending his political career and ensuring a Tory win* in the upcoming election by calling a spade, a spade. Or a bigot, a bigot as it turned out.
If he'd have got into his car and said 'FOR FUCK'S SAKE! WHO WAS THAT CRABBY OLD CUNT?' I could have kind of understood, but he didn't. If anything I'm amused that there was a note of surprise he'd found a bigot in Rochdale.
If anything GB should be apologising for not having the guts to say it to Gillian Duffy's face, but then I'm sure we've all had moments where we think of what we should have said afterwards. And as for all the profuse handwringing and sending her bunches of flowers (or whatever) because she's 'upset', please stop because it's just giving her opinions an air of legitimacy. "All these Eastern Europeans what are coming in, where are they flocking from?" *is*, you know, bigotted, after all.
The painkiller haze remains (I can still see double, yay!) so I'll end with a ReTweet which made me smile.
