Cacoethes: An irrestible urge; mania.
Example: I have terrible cacoethes for money. So much so, that I will put my health and mental well being in peril in order to get 12 hours overtime. My cacoethes will probably kill me one day, when I faceplant onto a hot grill. Yayz.
