Title: My name is...
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: None
Summary: Jackson wants bubble tea as an early birthday treat from Mark. He doesn’t get it, but ends up with something better. And Mark suffers from the sidelines.
Notes: Shameless use of pick-up lines, I’m so sorry. Italics are Jackson's thoughts! Also, english is not my mother tongue and I don’t have a beta so all mistakes are on me. I hope it’s somewhat near okay and you like it ;3 ;

Mark Tuan sometimes wondered why was he friends with such a loud, way-too-full-of-energy and almost-without-common-sense Jackson Wang.

Today was of those days.

Why did he decided to bring Jackson with him in the first place? Oh right, the “But Markie Pooh! Isn’t tomorrow my birthday? Can’t you buy me a bubble tea as an early treat? Pretty please with a cherry on top?” plus some aegyo and Mark was done for. He should’ve known better.

But, hey! How would’ve he guessed that, out of all the guys in the planet Jackson can find attractive, Park Jinyoung would be ‘the one’, as he said? Not that the man wasn’t handsome, like, he’s probably the one that brings more customers, especially high school girls, to the store just because they want to talk to him even if it’s just for paying something. Yet, oh, only if they and Jackson knew how sassy he could get…

Another thing that Mark sometimes wondered about was if Jackson had some shame. Most of the time, he concludes, Jackson doesn’t. Today, after the scene he had the pleasure -or shame, to be precise- to watch, just made him confirm this statement.

“Oh wow! This is where you work, Markie Pooh?” Jackson said while looking everywhere after entering the store with Mark.

It was a big store yet it was decorated in a cozy style, with some small cushions and chairs. There were a lot of post-its in the walls with many messages from customers, some small pictures of random things and overall the place giving a warm vibe.

“Can you please not call me that in public? At least not in my workplace, Jackson- the other pouted at that, yet complied with what his friend said. “I’m gonna go inside and talk with Jaebum for a while, just sit down and wait for me, okay? I’ll make it as fast as possible. “

“Yes yes, I’ll look around while I wait for you, maybe I’ll buy something? Can you recommend me a flavor or something? “

“You can try anything, but you can ask at the front, whoever is there, I’m sure he’ll recommend you something good” answered Mark in a hurry. “Look, I’ll go inside now or Jae is going to kill me, just be nice, don’t mess with anything and wait for me, okay?

“Jeez, I’m not a child, Mark, just go” said Jackson while looking for a comfortable spot. “Hope your boss won’t kill you! “

“You sure are like a kid, Jacks” Mark smiled and went inside the counter, leaving Jackson by himself.

After picking a spot to sit, next to a wall and with his back to the cashier, Jackson decided to wait for Mark.

“These little messages are so cute…” Jackson said to himself while reading some of the post-its in the walls. He noticed that quite a lot of the messages were mentioning either a “Jinyoung” or a “Jaebum”, alongside other names, Mark’s included.

“They must be this shop’s workers or something like that? Do they read every message here?” he mumbled to himself, focused on reading without noticing a man behind him.

“Boo!” Mark said, grinning at his friend when he heard the other’s high pitched scream.

“Tuan Yien!!!! Oh my god, man! What do you have against me??” Mark laughed hard for a couple of minutes meanwhile Jackson was calming himself down. He gets frightened very easily, okay?

“You deserved it, don’t think I have forgotten the last time you’ve scared me and almost killed me in the way” Mark answered, satisfied with the face his friend was making at him.

“Spawn of the devil, you horrible person, I can’t believe some people on the messages call you an ‘angel’ when you’re the embodiment of evil” Jackson said, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. “So, how did it go with your boss?”

“Everything’s okay” Mark answered briefly, and noticed Jackson didn’t have anything “But anyway, why haven’t you bought something? I thought you wanted your early treat?”

“Right!” the other boy said, lighting up at the idea “But you’ll be the one to pay, so let’s go!” Jackson picked Mark’s arm, dragging him to the front, when suddenly he stopped.

“Jackson?” Mark called, seeing that his friend didn’t move from the spot “Hey, Jacks!” he opted for grabbing the other’s shoulder to make him react “Hello, earth to Jackson Wang?”

“…Mark” Jackson said with the most serious voice he could muster while still looking at the front “Why didn’t you tell me you worked with a cutie like that?”

“What?” Mark looked at Jackson, who was basically staring, dumbfounded. “Uhm, Jacks? Do you mean the cashier?”

‘Cashier boy’, as Jackson’s mind named him, was one of, if not the most, handsome (and cute) boy he had ever seen. Pale skin contrasting with dark eyes and hair, plump lips and with a really nice profile, he was looking at a fallen angel. This Cashier Boy, from what Jackson could see, was looking at his phone smiling, which made Jackson notice the other’s eyes wrinkles and whoa.

“Mark Mark Mark, he’s so cute, you’ve been hiding this from me? Breaking the bro code, how could you?” Jackson was complaining at the other, while trying to control himself from staring too much. Not that he tried much, but the effort counts.

In one moment, Jackson noticed Cashier Boy looking at their direction, internally freaking out and grabbing Mark’s arm. “Oh my God he’s looking at us Maaaaaaaaaaark!”

“Oh, hey Mark! What are you doing here on your free day?” In a moment, they were already in front of Cashier Boy, Jackson still between dazed and internal fanboying over the other, and Mark just sighing at him.

Are you lost, man? Because heaven is a very long way from here. Maybe I can take a picture of you? So I can prove everybody that angels do exist?

“Jackson, shut up!” Mark elbowed Jackson hard on the stomach, making the other shout

“Ouch, holy shit Mark! What the! What did I do now?” he complained, glaring at Mark with all he had

“You just shut up, don’t you have some shame? Spitting out lame pick-up lines…”

“What pick-up line- oh shit did I just say my thoughts out loud?” Jackson said, finally looking at Cashier Boy, who was staring at him back quizzically. Mark deep sighed again and was about to apologize to Jinyoung when he heard him talking.

“Well yes, I heard you clearly, but I must say, I’ve heard better before” Jinyoung answered to Jackson, downright smirking at him. “If, in your words, I’m an angel, then are you a vampire? ‘cause you looked a little thirsty when you looked at me”.

‘Heard better?’ If there was something Jackson Wang disliked was losing to others. Cashier Boy brought it himself. On a side, Mark was dying from second-hand embarrassment.

“Your body is 70% water and, as you well said, I’m thirsty. I think we can solve the problem easily” the other answered, making Jinyoung laugh out loud. Not many people got his sense of humor, after all.

“Oh right! I’m Jackson, but you can call me lover” Jackson introduced himself, smiling and ending it with a wink, with Jinyoung smiling again.

“My name’s Park Jinyoung” the cashier told Jackson, giving him a little paper “but you can call me tonight” he finished, smiling and waving his hand as a goodbye, while Mark dragged Jackson out of the store, absolutely done with both of them.
