have come to a decision to re-home amy to a better home, than what we can provide to her...have been thinking about this for a long long time but the thot of losing her is painful...but now i believe re-homig her will be better for her ( Read more... )

Now I ask you, if you have a 3rd kid, would you give one kid away? I don't think so.

If you choose to have a dog, you should be prepared to go through all the sacrifices for the dog. Your reasons for letting her go and your profess love for her.. I think you're a very confused person.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

And may I ask, how do you know I've never walked in their shoes? You assume to much.

A pet is for life. You do not dessert them when you have other companions. If one is crippled, I can understand. If one cannot make time because of other and newer commitments, I think the whole issue goes back to the fact that that person is NOT RESPONSIBLE enough to consider all factors when they take up a pet.

I walk my dogs several times a day. On sunny days and on rainy days I drive them to a sheltered carpark. Yes, perhaps I'm more fortunate to be able to walk them that many times but when I am extremely busy and I have to walk them at 2.30am, I walk them at 2.30am.

You make too many assumptions. Maybe you should take over Amy and make sure you can take care of her well too. (but I doubt)

never mind these people, Lily. i was like that too when i encountered couples who were expecting their first child, some were even giving up their dogs before their children were born. yes i frowned upon them coz they have not even tried...but hey who am i to judge? but for me, i am at peace with my decision...we have tried many things, many ways, and have failed. we have come to a decision that it is for her good to be re-homed...now that decision is finally made we move on to act upon it...find her a suitable home...carefully...so now i have learnt the lesson before judging people for having to re-home their dogs, put yourself in their shoes...

funny about anonymous poster, why are these people so chicken shit as to not leave comments with their real identidy?? hmmmm.....never mind...

in normal journals such as these, usually people would post anonymously with a signature below for those who do not have an account, e.g. cheers, so-and-so...so i guess your name is either "FUCKED UP" or "puke"...hi, welcome to my amy's online blog :)

never mind lah, people too free sometimes nothing to do mah :) i know where this person comes from, i was like that too until i myself became a mum...like i said, i am at peace with the decision...say whatever they like, as if i care... :) amy is with me for as long as possible until a suitable permanent home is found...

Yes i agree with u. she/he or maybe IT might b a responsible pet owner but the sarcastic n judgmental comments were totally uncall for. Social skills a big fat zero. I think its an ego thingy. Probably feels tat she/he or IT is the best n most responsible pet owner in the whole wide world.
