And here I thought the US would be BAD for my ego...
In Japan, I lost count of how many times people called me `cute` or `pretty`. And every time it was accompanied by comments about how I had a "tall nose" (a bad thing in the US, but highly desired in Japan), a "small face", "big eyes", blonde hair (though it`s really more of a light brown), and blue eyes....
In other words, I was a foreigner.
So, it was of course nice to hear, but always something you took with a grain of salt. I thought I`d miss that on returning to the US where non-black hair and eyes were standard. The US, land of big boobs, which I certainly don`t have. (Hell, I barely have an A cup.) I`m short and have afore-mentioned big nose.
And yet, in the past 2-3 weeks, I`ve confirmed no less than four definite crushes on me and been flirted with by more guys (and gals) than I can count off the top of my head.
Seriously?? What. the. Hell?!
Good for an ego booster though!
