I Hate You Too Computer
Yet another fail moment in which I seek knowledge, should anyone out there posses it. At the very least, it lets me rant.
Last night, I noticed my fingerprint scanner that I usually use to log into and out of my computer, was not working. I assumed it was just from the cold and tried to restart. Still not working. Being sick and tired, I went to bed. Today, I started up my computer and discovered it's still not working.
I have no idea what may have caused this, nor how to fix it. I tried to re-download the software; nothing. In fact, the software itself seems to be fine. It's the fingerprint reader itself that's not registering at all. It's not showing up in my device drivers either. A system restore to a day I know it was working also didn't work. The HP site doesn't seem very helpful, and I can't use their email system as my computer is out of warranty.
Any ideas/thoughts?
And I'm still sick to boot!
