The term "tramp stamp".
I have a small tattoo of three stars in black ink on my lower back. They represent the three stars of Orion's belt, which has a great deal of personal significance to me. I chose my lower back for the location of this tattoo because:
1) It's Orion's BELT. As in, the belt region. (I would like to add his shoulder in the future.)
2) One's lower back is not prone to stretching as one's stomach is.
3) It's an easy place to cover or uncover (and to do so without showing tits or ass too).
4) There aren't so many nerves there, so it's not as painful.
5) It's an easy place to work with, and my back is one of my features I actually rather like.
These are all common reasons for women -- and men as well -- to choose to decorate their lower backs. "Being a tramp" is not generally one of them. I know the stereotype, and I know there are a lot of young women out there with ridiculous "hot stuff" tattoos. But I still hate that term. It's sexist, rude, and vulgar. I know I can't stop people from using it, but I wish I could at least discourage my friends.
