Having a Poland Moment
The Venerable Viscount von Awesome's Fancy Pantsy Cocktail Party* is this weekend and I have nothing to wear!
*hyperventilates*
But seriously. Do I dig out last year's Halloween costume (minus awesome hat which I don't have) to go as a guard? (Keeping in mind the fact everyone's already seen this costume.) Do I try and hunt down on awesome hat the day before and declare myself there to pirate all their rum? (Keeping in mind the fact I probably won't find one, or at least won't find one that I won't need to resort to actual piracy to afford.)
Do I dig out the fancy-pantsy gorgeous cocktail dress that doesn't quite fit the period, and which I plan on wearing for next month's wine-tasting? (Remember, re-do's in the same company are in poor taste unless one is able to manage something drastically different with it.)
Or do I go with a Gothed-up Alice? In which case I will somehow need to run to the nail salon and see if they can get me some sort of card-themed manicure the day before. And I should probably try and procure a white rabbit plushie for. One with an eyepatch if at all possible.
...God I wish I had been able to get into the rest of my boxes when I was home. I could really use my crinoline right about now. And I had the perfect shirt in storage somewhere!
