the snow fell softly from the sky. Hand in hand we walked in the cold, leaving behind our footprints in the snow.
I could see my breathe, the cold air filled my lungs and my toes had gone numb, but it didn't matter.
being with him was worth every step. Together we were in our own world, the sounds were the sounds of our laughter and our
feet pressing down on the fresh powder. He could always find my smile, with him I could
never stop laughing. He captured me in his wonderful world. But sure we did get into fights, but it just made things
more interesting, instead of thinking about what we were mad about, we thought about how to make up to eachother.
We made foot prints in the snow together... Running ahead of eachother, hiding behind trees and throwing snowballs at
eachother, with him everything was a new adventure. He bought us hot chocolates and we sat down watching the other
people in the store, and of course laughing. An old couple sat two tables away. I saw in the old mans eyes he loved his wife,
the trust and endless devotion, andnot to mention love I saw in thier eyes. Jokingly i said " Watch that will be us in
70 years." Inside though, I wasnt joking. " I hope that will be us... but hopefully you won't be bald and i wont be two feet
tall." He laughed at his own joke, but inside he meant it too. That day we didnt just leave our footprints in the snow, but
in our souls. Looking back things didn't turn out how they should have, but I can never say I didn't regret what happened...
Patiently I'll wait, I'll wait for our first real kiss, but theres plenty of time to wait for kisses... After all in
70 years we'll still be making footprints...
