Christmas Day
Well, Xmas is officially over in my part of the world. The day wasn't particularly different from the other days of the year.
Rundown:
- Woke up at 10-ish to help Nan with bathroom. Went back to sleep.
- Woke up at about 1-ish. Went back to sleep.
- Around 3, went up to house to say hello to the (one) visiting relative. Had a tasty plate of food made up, went back down to house. Had some cake a while later.
- Friend popped over around 5 for about an hour in between Xmas family obligations.
- Went to sleep. Again.
- Woke up about nine-thirty. Have since been watching an 'Amnesia: let's Play!'. The magic of Christmas.
It makes me both long for and mystified how excited and sleepless I used to get as a child for this time of year. I didn't even realize how close it was until yesterday (there were things I wanted to get before then. Alas, I was too late).
I guess there might be some people envious of the stress free way in which my holiday has passed. However, I think that those who had big family do's with lots of activity and preparation will look back fondly, and be glad it's another 365 days before they have to do it again.
Now, it's just getting totally munted on New Years to look forward to, right, legally aged people? XD
